About the trip

Situated in the midst of the Western Ghats of Chikmaglur district in Karnataka, surrounded by the lofty hill ranges of Babubudangiri. The River Tern Lodge is a perfect blend of nature and wildlife. The lodge gets its name from the congregation of thousands of River Terns during their breeding on a nearby island. Indeed a spectacular sight to behold! Get ready for nature at its best!

  8. You will make your own arrangements for your stay in Bangalore/Chikamagalur, if travelling from here.

Itinerary

Day 1: 
Arrive from Bangalore to rest and take in the place. Relax with a  good book. Later in the evening, go for a wildlife safari into the park, in the Resorts Jeeps Vans, accompanied by experienced Drivers and Naturalists. Enjoy the evening by the camp fire or watch videos/ movies on wildlife.

Day 2: 
Don’t miss any opportunity to be in the wild. Cruise through the serene backwaters of the Bhadra reservoir on a motor boat viewing sleepy crocodiles and the other birdlife, intent on their morning catch.  The evening holds another trip into the reserve, accompanied by experienced Drivers and Naturalists

Day 3:  Earlier you wake up, more the chances of spotting animals. Today take a small guided hike on some natural trails with experts.  There are some water based activities which you may try at an additional cost. Depart from River Tern Lodge after lunch.
