PARAGLIDING (COURSES)

GetOff has tied up with Aurovrata Venet (Vrata) to start paragliding courses in Bangalore. Vrata is part of the family business of manufacturing microlight aircrafts in Bangalore and has had early exposure to flying when his folks set up the Nilgiris Hang gliding centre at Ooty in 1985. He initially learnt to fly here as a kid. The courses we offer here will follow European standards and syllabus. We will be offering two courses Introductory and Mountain flying – both 3-5 days in duration. Courses begin this month

RUNNING HOLIDAYS

GetOff in association with Bharat Ramanathan – offers to take you running off your regular running trail. A combo trip of offbeat-running trails in amazing scenic locations, history, interesting people, fine hospitality and many discoveries along the way. Trails are located in different alternative destinations adding to your existing “bragging rights library”. initiallythese trips will be over weekends extending to longer duration running trips. A concept that we have fallen in love with. “onthemove’ is the most wanted alternative trip in the GetOff list. After the success of the last two workshops and the much-appreciated exhibition of work from these workshops – we are launching our next workshop in colourful Goa. This trip/workshop is planned to coincide with the Goan Carnival and will explore the many faces of Goa, its people, life and culture. Our Photography expert/faculty Hellmuth Conz will lead the trip.

GetOff map has been expanding rapidly and we hope to connect newer areas in 2009. WHISPERING WILDERNESS
A weekend in the out of beyond wilderness, in an end of the road campsite. This trip connects one with pollution free environment – zero power, no mobile coverage and an easy far away existence for a weekend. Come along to experience star filled skies, crisp air, and an easygoing “let me do what I want” trip and some amazing walks.

ANDAMANS
The land of naked people, should we say, it is on the tourist map or not? On our recce trip last month we discovered another world in the remote part of this expansive archipelagos. It was a mind-blowing experience for us and we want to take you on ‘one hell of a trip’. The trip is designed to keep one away from the tourist map to explore the hidden away treasures in the most unexploited of islands and faraway seas. Like every other GetOff trip – this will be one unforgettable journey living the days that you would dream of as an adventure traveler.
