The 35-acre resort is situated right at the feet of the Nilgiris with spectacular views of the rising mountains. The forest around is lush and green expect during the summer. Hermie and her son have created Jungle retreat keeping in mind the need of both wildlife enthusiasts and leisure travelers. They have created an interesting combination of deluxe cottages with private verandas fully equipped with air-conditioner, refrigerator and a mini-bar; spacious cottages and bamboo huts with open air bathrooms. The verandas of all these spaces provide gorgeous views of the mountains and the forest. The dining area with bar is most comfortable place to relax and unwind. Food is a mix of Indian, Continental and Chinese. You can also make special requests.

Jeep drives to Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary and treks are part of the activities scene. There are a bunch of dedicated naturalists and outdoor experts who accompany you.

Oh Yes! I almost forgot the swimming pool, designed to look natural with an amazing view.

For the budget travelers there is a well furnished, clean fresh dorm. If you are looking for some adventure and camping, you could camp around in retreat or walk up the Sholur trail and tent camp at the campsite which is 6 kms from the property in the middle of the hills.
