Undoubtedly the best place to stay in Dandeli. Run by Jungle lodges, a state government organization, it comes as a pleasant surprise to experience clean, fresh, luxurious and a friendly stay. The camp is located by the Kali River close to the Dandeli town.

This is a great place from where to explore Dandeli. The wildlife sanctuary is 22kms from here, coracle rides for crocodile sighting is the best on this stretch of the river, walks into the town will take not more than 10 minutes. And the rest of Dandeli area is well networked from here which the staff willingly offer to help you with.

The rooms are simple and basic but with crisp white linen, beige painted walls and have their own independent sit-outs. The tented cottages are river facing and have the luxuries of a room. It has beds, good linen, attached modern toilet and private sit-out overlooking the river. It is charming -- and a place to unwind.

Food is served in a gazebo by the river. The spread ranges from simple Indian veg dishes to indianised Chinese and continental food.

Tent:Rs 2250/- per person for an overnight stay
Room: Rs 2500/- per person for an overnight stay

(This includes stay in rooms or tented cottages by the riverside, breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea/coffee and snacks. It also includes a jeep drive to Dandeli wildlife sanctuary and a coracle ride for crocodile spotting.)
