Here is a trekking route that is steeped in legend and offers some great views of Deo Tibba and the Pin Parvati range of mountains. The story goes that thousands of years ago, Jamlu (the presiding deity of Malana) was carrying a basket containing Gods of Kullu . On the top of the pass when he opened the basket, a very strong wind blew the Gods all over Kullu valley to their present abodes. Since then the valley is kn own as the Valley of Gods.

The trek provides an excellent insight into the traditions of this valley apart from great outdoors.

Interesting places enroute:

Naggar at 1840 mtrs is famous for its castle and its history of being state capital of Kullu Valley some 1500 years ago. It was here that famous painter from Russia Nicolas Roe rich established his gallery and spent a life time. It is 20 kms from Manali.

Krishna Temple is perched on a forested ridge 1500 feet above the river Beas in central Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by mountains, forests, ancient villages and temples, the Krishna Temple enjoys spectacular views over the Kullu valley, also known as "the valley of the Gods" or "the end of the habitable world"

Malana is a small village and very popular among trekkers as it has its own language, customs, and beliefs. It is governed by its village elders. Some say they are from Greek race who settled after Alexander The Great returned back after invading India . Some trekkers feel that language spoken is much closer to "Hebrew" and is related with Christ. In Himachal folklore, Malana is considered the world's oldest surviving democracy.

Some of the views you will encounter:
White Sail (6446 mtrs)
Papsura (6451 mtrs)
A striking view of Deo Tibba peak
Bird's view of Kullu valley & Dhauladhar Range
