This route has been the holy grail of motorcyclist here in India. The treacherous route that takes you though some of the worlds most hostile passes while experiencing some of the most beautiful landscapes the Himalayan Mountains have on offer.
If the oxygen depraved campsite at Sarchu doesn't give you a high, you can count on the water crossing that could easily swallow your motorcycle to take you to nirvana.

Ride the Altitude
It’s not uncommon to hear every motorcyclist speak of Leh, Ladakh as the "holy grail of mountain motorcycle adventures"
The journey to the World's Highest Motorable road is by no means an easy feat, but getting there to the top is no reason to forget paradise that lies on the other side of that mountain pass. The Nubra valley, through which the ancient Silk-route traversed, is a cultural mix of worlds, both old and new.
The constantly sifting white sand dunes in this mountain desert are reminder of constant change yet the magnificent 14th century Gompa in Diskit and the graves of the Yarkandi Merchants in Hunder are a symbol of Nubra's opulent past. From the banks of the Pangong-Tso to the monastery in Lamayuru or the silted sand formations in Nimu, this is one journey that promises unlimited adventure while giving you an opportunity to rediscover yourself, spread the love and earn good Karma.
