We are all pirates at heart. There is not one of us who hasn't had a little larceny in his soul. And which one of us wouldn't soar if God had thought there was merit in the idea? So, when we see one of those great widespread pirates soaring across the grain of sea winds we thrill, and we long, and, if we are honest, we curse - that we must be men every day. Why not a bird? There's an idea, now, one day out of seven a pirate in the sky. What puny power a man can attain by comparison. Compare a 747 with a bird and blush? Getoff ur ass to take the jump and learn to fly, fly, fly.

Getoff~ in association with Aurovrata Venet (Vrata) offers paragliding courses in Bangalore. Vrata is part of the family business of manufacturing microlight aircrafts in Bangalore and has had early exposure to flying when his folks set up the Nilgiris Hang gliding centre at Ooty in 1985. The courses offered have been tested over last year (2007) and follow the standard content offered by schools in Europe. The course is designed to cover various skills needed for a student to be autonomous on takeoff, flying and landing on designated flying areas with predictable conditions. The course will have theory sessions also on the principles of flight to support practical skills to be acquired. It consists of 4 main parts: take off, flight, landing and theory of flight. In order to facilitate and enable a logical progression; learning process is split into two courses - basic and mountain flying. Both courses are designed to get u flying than just offer a certificate or just to put in the "been there done that club". Its time to sign on cos we believe "You haven't seen a tree until you've seen its shadow from the sky".

Once you have mastered the skill - u can explore the high skies with us with many independent paragliding trips that we plan to organise.
