About the trip

Nilgiris at about 8000+feet above sea level where the high altitude grasslands of Western Ghats are dotted with the Shola forest. The landscape is unbelievably similar to the Himalayas. It is surrounded by Silent valley and Mukurti Wildlife Sanctuary.

 

This trip takes you to the most unexplored part of the Nilgiris and remote wilderness.

Itinerary

Day 0: Evening we head out on a night Volvo bus to Ooty.

Day 1:
Reach Ooty - freshen up. Drive to Trekking hut. Lunch and some relaxing time. Short walk to the lake. 

Day 2:
After An early breakfast, start trek to Mukurti valley. Carry packed lunch. Return to hut for tea and then dinner by the campfire.

Day 3: Take it easy, after breakfast short trek to a small waterfall close by.
Pack up after lunch and head back to Ooty. Explore the town.
